Ginungagap is a personnal project, in order to enhance my skills at Hand Painted texturing.

 

As I like a lot the olds japanese RPG like the firsts Final Fantasy or titles like Chrono Trigger, I always liked to give a try at making such games. I started as a teen with RPG Maker, and soon turned to more pro Engines, like Unity.

 

Ginungagap is the encounter between this old love for J-RPG and the Nordic Mythology, as well as the hand painted style.

I first started this project alone, and, by the opportunity of an exercice during my ENJMIN first year, I received some help from a programer. 

 

In a world where Existence and Void are in a fragile balance, the never ending wars humans and gods are waging threatens the line protecting the universe from the Void. 
Far from theses conflicts, some worlds are slowly getting devored by a more and more freed Void. 

Melissandre, a young inhabitant from a dense forest planet, will be cursed by the Void and will start a trip to find a way to cure herself and her forest.
